Open House Week
Between April 15 and 19, we had a different kind of week, opening our doors and welcoming around 1,450 lively and cheerful children to our construction site, eager to work and help us move forward with the work. The classes/groups participated in an interactive lesson and an incursion into the world of construction during the open house week (April 15-19, 2019), visiting the MRS Residence SMART construction site in Ploiești, Bd. Republicii, no. 146-150, Ploiești-Nord (near Kaufland).
A tour lasting approximately 45 minutes during which the children learned the main rules of protection and safety at work, were equipped appropriately to enter the construction site (with a helmet and protective vest with MRS Micuț Inginer) and discovered in a fun way the stages of construction of the residential complex:
building permit, 22,000 sqm plot, 7 blocks and 360 apartments, let's go:), block foundation, underground parking, load-bearing structure, interior and exterior partitions, floor slabs, finishes and utilities :). And of course, every little one laid a brick in the foundation of the 7 blocks.
During the activity, the children earned badges representing different professions (director, engineer, foreman, carpenter, ironworker, bricklayer) based on their answers, and the number one rule was that all their classmates had to cheer for the person receiving a badge by shouting in unison "LITTLE ENGINEER" or "LITTLE CARPENTER" or "LITTLE FOREMAN"—yes, yes, we had some problems pronouncing the word "foreman" :).
The tours ended with us being rewarded, and the little ones received a MRS LITTLE ENGINEER diploma, the badges they had earned, a notebook with their activities, and the teachers received a certificate of participation.
Dear Little Engineers, we look forward to seeing you again on other projects. You have brightened up our construction site, and the bricks you laid have been a great help. We are now well ahead of schedule.
P.S. Who are we?! Little engineers!!!
